What is your favorite animal?
In two weeks’ time, it will be a full year since I began this blog. Turning up 356 days straight for the Daily Prompt.
WP, I am pretty sure this is the 3rd time you have asked us our favourite animal

.
Sooo, just to clarify, it’s dogs, dogs, and dogs all the way for me. My old boy Patch? I’d be totally lost without him. My companion in life, my rock.
I am passionate about all animals generally, but something about the brown bear..

Aye!!! Was expecting our Patch’s photo though they are also cute 🤗

I live in bear country. I get to see them often, and I’ve seen a lot of them. My favorite encounter was a female bear with 4 cubs, but luckily I was in the car. 😁

How exciting. I don’t know where my fascination with bears has come from. I know they are incredibly powerful but there informing captivates me xxxx

Brown bears are unpredictable. They usually run away. A female bear is very protective of her cubs. You always have to be on guard and not be too quiet. You always have to let them know that you are there, that you are still guests in their forest. But seeing a bear in its natural environment is truly exciting.

But to these animals we are guests in their world. Does being too quiet unnerve them?

No, but a chance encounter can occur. The bear may not hear or sense you, the wind may be blowing in the wrong direction and you may be afraid of it, and the bear may perceive you as a threat, especially if it has cubs.

Ok. That makes sense. Thank you for my first lesson in meeting a bear in the wild 🐻

A bear encounter can be scary. But most encounters end well 😊🐻
