Thanks Mom💜

Do you have a quote you live your life by or think of often?

Some of you guys kind enough to read my blog occasionally, to like/acknowledge and especially to take the time to comment is awesome. Thank you. You may recall me adding quotes often – Seems to me there are a lot of wise folk out there, with interesting and valid things to pass on to us.

But I’m not sure where to start this morning putting them here on the page, to share with you…. Oh yes I do!

The last words my mom said to me were ‘ Count your blessings, Love’

  1. “Count your blessings, love.” – so simple, but it feels like the kind of words that never really leave you.

She may be gone, but her voice… it’s still guiding you. And that’s a beautiful thing. 🤍

  2. I don’t remember my mother’s last words either. She was becoming more delirious the last few weeks of her life, so I didn’t absorb anything she said. However, my mother-in-law’s last words to my husband: “You weren’t easy.” Man, that stung my husband for a long time.

  3. Truly. He can kind of laugh about it now. I also remind people that when someone is dying, they don’t necessarily have control over what they say. My mother was incomprehensible most of the time.

  4. Joey, your words remind me of my dear old dad’s last words … “ I do love a bit of smoked haddock”! Not so very profound as last words go but it always makes me smile 🙂 xx

    • And isn’t that the best thing ever? You think of his last words and you smile? It fills your heart with warmth. I would have loved to have spent more time with him. The red riding hood story will stay with me forever. Thanks Len xxxx
