This jug, dated 1700BC, was unearthed in 2003 in an archeologically dig on the Turkish-Syrian border, but the smiley face was not revealed until this Hittite piece was restored in 2017.  Word is it would have been used for drinking sherbet, a sweet drink….I wonder how they determined that?
