Invent a holiday! Explain how and why everyone should celebrate.

Life for many people life is a full-time job with extra shifts. There are a multitude of reasons why  that is, and I  would like for them to have a special day, totally free of responsibilities.

There is a theme running through many of the posts in reply to the DP ( which, incidentally, was set exactly a year ago. Come on, WP, really?)

The theme is for stillness, quiet and caring, freedom or gratitude. A digital detox here or a complete day of rest there. Variants on the theme of complete downtime.

A day free of racism was mentioned, too.

It would surely be the best holiday event ever to celebrate World Peace. But realistically, that’s never going to happen. There is too much greed and ego for that.  September 21st is the designated International Day of Peace, but it doesn’t get much airplay, does it?
