Liquid Gold

What is your favorite drink?

In England I’ll mostly drink decaffeinated tea and coffee( believing it is better for me and won’t disturb my sleep).

One of the best drinks in the world has to be Turkish Coffee ( and definitely a sleep disturber). I would alarm work mates overseas by drinking big cups of it, whilst theirs were tiny. To be fair it did make me a tad jittery. But so lovely!

Mint Tea is another drink I adore. The Daily Prompt was probably asking for one, I have three.

And last but not least Masala Chai. Heavenly.

Strangely I don’t add anything sweet to my drinks here at home, but those favourites of mine are absolutely laden with sugar 😂

  1. I love mint tea, too. The best mint tea I have ever tasted was in Morocco, but it was extremely sweet. I treat myself to a Chai Latte occasionally – another sweet drink. I don’t add sugar to my tea or coffee usually …

  2. Hey June. I just replied to you on my mobile but I don’t know where it went, so I’ll try again. If you get 5 copies, so be it, lol.
The first time I had Mint Tea was in Morocco too. Many moons ago. So sweet but it felt so exotic back then. I remember the beautiful ornate little glass it was served in. ( and now you have stirred by memory and now I could a lot more to that post- thank you)
I’ve not tried Chai Latte, but I will look out for it, next time I’m out and about. Some while back I did order ‘ Chai’ in a teashop, but my goodness it was sooo bad.
I think the sweetness is part of the experience ,don’t you…not taking sugar normally?
    Have a happy weekend x
