Dangerous liasons

What makes you nervous?

Falling trees and potholes. Just the thoughts, images, or news of these things make me nervous. Don’t know where that fear comes from, but here we are.

There is something else, too…

Next door has been vacated, and the property is up for sale. That, of course, brings a certain amount of anxiety. I’ve waited a long time for the absolute peace and freedom I have now.. it only takes a human or two to wreck everything, eh?

What has sent me spiralling is that one person, especially looking at it, is someone who can not hold a lie until the end of a short conversation. I really value authenticity, and even a degree of unhingement is okay with me, but folk who are compulsively untruthful…. Mmm

Edit, next day. It occurred to me in the middle of the night I meant to day sinkholes….but potholes aren’t very nice either 😆

  1. i know what you mean with neighboring houses. I have taken to asking my neighbors every couple of years if they are planning to move. luckily, our little shire has been peaceful and we all understand it’s because of the unique mix of our (mostly) quiet personalities. I hope that if someone does move into the next property, they want peace and quiet too or that you both get along exceedingly well. I’ll cross my fingers for you. Mike

  2. I can empathise with the question of neighbours. When we moved to our current property, we had the most lovely neighbours for over fifteen years. Sadly, the husband died, and his wife went into a nursing home. Our new neighbours are okay, but not particularly friendly. After two years, having completely developed their property, they are moving. I’m anxious about who will move in next. Watch this space and good luck with yours!
