What are the biggest mistakes people make when visiting your country?
The month of May is by far the most beautiful time of the year to visit England.

People visiting at other times of the year are probably going to be disappointed.
Sure, we are having heatwaves, but when we aren’t, they can really expect a ‘four seasons in one day’ thing, going on.

During May, the hedgerows are fat and happy. The trees are green. The birds are active. The plants and flowers are glorious-simply at their best, and England has gotten warmer after a long, bleak, and grey winter.

Watching the lambs play is something else.
That really makes May sound like the perfect time to visit England, everything green, fresh, and full of life after winter.
The “four seasons in one day” line made me smile. That seems very on-brand for England’s weather!
Now I definitely understand why people would choose May specifically for a visit.

I visited England July/August- no rain (seems to be a thing with our church’s choir (non-choir members can come) abroad trips. We tend to stop the rain- don’t know why. UK fans usually think we are making that up, but we aren’t
