What’s the best advice you’d give to someone younger than yourself

Never ever having a mentor has been the  bane of my life.

I don’t want to say to a youngster if someone shows interest in you go with it, because their intentions may not be honourable.

But if there is a figure in your life, you totally trust-then listen.

If you ever you’re freaked out by someone, tell someone else. They don’t listen, tell someone else.

Once upon a time, apprenticeships used to be something, an honourable thing – life-long leaning was passed on. Like many cultures worldwide, the elders held the wisdom.

I’m rambling, but  I guess what I’m trying to say is if you recognise an elder who has an ability, you aspire to gain, listen, watch,take it in and question.Stretch your brain and imagination at every opportunity.
